Matrix is nice and easily readable. I like the fact that you made the intersections with not only different colors but also with different forms. It improves readability a lot. I will not comment on Sq. footage estimates because I use the metric system and honestly at this hour I am not going to convert areas. :) Daylight availability should have another possibility such as "Important/desirable but not required", other than just "yes" or "no". There are spaces that would benefit greatly from natural daylight like gymnasiums or locker rooms and bathrooms (provided that there are no privacy issues). In special requirements I believe mechanical rooms should only be for HVAC machines, water treatment and such machines, not for storage of sports machines. That should be extra storage spaces near the sports rooms. Keep up the good work. ES
On this assignment I was really trying to figure out which spaces would be beneficial for my site and also to limit myself with big spaces like sports fields. Your daylight comment had me wondering and I was confused for some spaces that would need natural daylight, however I should interpret them as you describe it thank you for that tip. Concerning the mechanical room i was thinking of machinery that would be needed to control the temperature of the pool, HVAC and lighting controls. I was using as reference the London Aquatic Centre of Zaha Hadid for this space in particular. Best, Jose A.
